Located in TW1, Stokes & Moncreiff offers something different when looking for somewhere to eat and drink.
In February 2014, six people had a vision for the slightly austere pub that lay on the corner of Oak Lane and Richmond Road. With their mix of expertise they wanted to renovate all parts of the pub and create a much nicer atmosphere for anyone that stepped inside. On February 15th 2014 the doors finally opened to the brand new Stokes & Moncreiff - restaurant and bar.
‘Why Stokes and Moncreiff?’ we hear you ask. Well....On the 27th March 1871 at Raeburn Place, Edinburgh the first ever recorded Rugby International game was played infront of 4000 spectators. The match was between England and Scotland, and the two men leading out their teams - Frederick Stokes and Francis Moncreiff.
